Who we are
For 40 years, Dockside Power, Inc. has specialized in crafting custom-designed power pedestals to meet the unique needs and requirements of marina owners and boat owners alike.
We’re located in the yachting capital of the world and the hurricane capitol in the United States. This has impacted the materials we use and the designs we create. To ensure durability and functionality, all Dockside Power, Inc. pedestals, sub-stations, and panelboard enclosures are built using .125” marine-grade aluminum—it is stronger, lighter, and double the width of the stainless steel used by our competitors. Our power pedestals are manufactured to combat harsh weather including heavy rains, strong winds, and hail.
Additionally, dissimilar to our competitors, our power pedestals are welded—instead of riveted, or screwed to minimize galvanic corrosion within the unit for adjacent electrical bonding. This helps to protect against corrosion in all of the electrical accessories attached to the base unit.
All our transformers are double-dipped, copper-wound, and high-efficiency TP1 rated. Housing is designed for heat convection—use without fans—to eliminate the possibility of fan failure that can lead to transformer failure when the airflow stops and the internal temperature rises to a level that exceeds the temperature rating for installed dry-type transformers.
Though Dockside Power, Inc. products and accessories are built using trusted and certified materials from esteemed manufacturers including Square D, Hubbell, Marathon, Carlo Gavazzi, and EZ Meters, all our pedestals, sub-stations, and panelboard enclosures are manufactured locally in Hollywood, Florida.
Our 40 years of experience have given us the knowledge and credibility to design and manufacture the highest quality power pedestals on the market.
